Sunday markets in Islamabad have been closed due to a lack of fire safety arrangements.

According to the details, shopkeepers protested against the closure of H9 Sunday Market and raised slogans against the CDA. Along with this, the shopkeepers claimed to have spent crores of rupees on security arrangements.

200 to 250 shopkeepers staged a dharna outside the Sunday market and demanded the immediate opening of the market, as citizens are deprived of purchasing cheap goods due to the closure of the shops.

On the other hand, the weekly bazaar in G6 was also closed, while there is a police presence outside the H9 Sunday bazaar.
