Abu Dhabi: The British news agency has claimed a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
The British news agency has claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates where he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi. It should be noted that in May this year, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office had also announced Netanyahu’s visit to the UAE and meeting with the Emirati President, but the UAE denied the meeting.
A senior Israeli official has confirmed the meeting to the British news agency, but no official statement was immediately issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also declined to comment on the news.
According to Israeli media, Netanyahu traveled to Abu Dhabi by private plane and returned to Israel after staying there for about a day. However, the agenda of the meeting or the details of the conversation between the two leaders were not immediately revealed.
